From the Psychology Field:

“I personally discovered the profound effects of Reiki. I have studied energy arts over the years and I am familiar with chi flow. These Reiki practitioners were very skilled at moving energy, and in the end, I felt a release of a certain mental and physical pressure that I’d held onto for years prior — all in one treatment. The clients I have referred have discovered the benefits of Reiki for coping with significant stress and anxiety. Reiki is a comforting and supportive way to release anxiety and physical tension.”

“I have been a licensed psycho-therapist for 23 years. In the past few years I have referred some of my clients for Reiki treatments. I see that Reiki can be a very effective adjunct to psychotherapy for clients who are depressed, anxious, have low self esteem, and a need to increase their sense of well being. These clients need to continue to develop and practice self care skills, and Reiki helps them to do this. Reiki helps clients to do a deeper level of healing work that words do not access.”

From Cancer Patients:

“I started going for Reiki treatments just before I had cancer surgery. I continued going for regular intervals. I firmly believe that the Reiki sessions contributed to my quick recovery. I also believed that those restorative sessions with my Reiki practitioner contributed to the limited severity of, and limited number of side effects that I experienced during those cancer treatments. In addition, the Reiki sessions afforded me much needed physical and mental peace. The suggested guided imagery during the sessions aided the healing process.”

"I recently rode the cancer roller coaster and I don't know if I would have survived the ride without Reiki. At first, I was skeptical, believing that simple touch would not be enough to help me. Then, I had my first treatment and I realized just how powerful and healing this energy can be. The chemo treatments made it difficult for me to eat, but I can honestly say that the first time I was actually hungry was following a Reiki treatment. My arms would be in pain from the IV injections and after Reiki, they would always feel less sore. The guided imagery that was used in conjunction with the Reiki treatment helped me immensely. As most people with cancer come to learn, sleeping is extremely difficult due to stress. After a few nights of following the guided imagery exercises, I was actually able to sleep through the night. I also used my Reiki sessions as an opportunity to relax my body and often fell into a deep slumber. The most important aspect of visual imagery happened when it was used with the Reiki for cleansing purposes. I worked hard to visualize white, pure light moving through my body. When I finally saw a creamy white shade easily flowing through my body, I knew I was cured."

From High School & College Students:

“I am a sophomore in High School. I learned Reiki when I was eight years old and it made a big difference in my life. I used to worry about everything and had very little confidence in myself. That has changed much and I know it is because of Reiki. I have learned Levels I and Levels II, but it is always nice when my mom works on me. I use it often. It has helped with day-to-day stress, when things are bothering me, and whenever I get injured in sports. Many of my friends have experienced Reiki too. I feel very fortunate to have learned about Reiki and know it is something I will always use.”

“Reiki has been a phenomenal resource while away at school. I anticipated the stress I would be under in my first year and attended the classes to learn the art of Reiki... and I am so glad I did. I can practice on myself, before a test or after, when I”m preparing an important assignment or waiting for a grade. But maybe even more importantly is how I help others as well. It took three weeks before I convinced my roommate to allow me to perform a treatment, she just did not believe in it. Before - she was ready to pack up and head home, and after - she felt clear and collected, relaxed and refreshed. She was astonished, and a supporter ever since. When life's transitions are stressful, as school has been for us, Reiki is the answer.”
